With that kind of technical acumen, I sure hope they don't let you fly any spaceships

This is how SpaceX plans to send people to Mars Space
SpaceX plans to send humans to Mars with on a ship called the Interplanetary Transport System, and in a video published today, the company revealed how the ITS will actually perform. The ITS is capable of carrying up to 100 tons of cargo (that's supplies and people) and it will rely on a few different power sources to make it all the way to Mars. Liftoff requires 28,730,000 pounds of thrust, which suggests the ITS will use roughly 40 Raptor rocket engines, which each generate 680,000 pounds of thrust. Once the ship reaches orbit, its booster will return to Earth and immediately re-launch with a refueling pod, which matches up with the ITS to top off its propellant. Then, the ITS deploys its solar arrays, two wing-like panels that fold out from the base of the ship and provide 200 kW of power, and it sets off.

I think that's something like 75 million horsepower
Crazy

As long as the crew's all Elon fanboys, who would object?

So this is a one-way trip vehicle?
If it launches from earth but needs refueling while in orbit to reach Mars, how does it get refuelled for the return launch from Mars?

From my understanding yes. They don't have the technology yet to get them back. Sounds like a fabulous time.

He just said they don't need the booster to get off of Mars. So essentially, they would make their return fuel on Mars, load up the ship, and leave (at least based on what he has said so far).

Btw Gary, if you're reading, it's not because they're black. It's because they're idiots who are misleading people. a-hole.

Is this the same group as the Mars-One mission?

That would be badass to be the first human to go to mars. Do you know how much pussy you could slay when you returned to Earth?
I would sign up for that trip. However, knowing my luck, I'd get stuck on mars and have to jackoff to martian rocks that look like titties.

Is it bad if I want everyone in Congress and the White House and all the aides to be onboard? This could be the much needed reset the nation deserves!
