as this may be a sm keeper hire, you have to say the fred jackson has always been a good coach and recruiter and is worth the re-hire....

GDI

I told you about that panties girl. That sort of material gets a man's head thinking...and makes the lawyers rich at the same time.

Hooray! He's been great at recruiting and coaching our backs so I'm glad he'll still be there.

Where has Ron English gone? Where will he end up? He should be a HC

I have never understood why English was being considered as a replacement for Carr or as a candidate for the HC position at Arkansas. I think he is solid, and he may evolve into an excellent coach. However, he has not proven to me that he is ready for the big time yet. His defenses have gotten throttled in almost every big game in the last couple seasons. He has been out-coached in these games (Ohio State and USC last year), and he did not have his young defense ready for the start of this year (App State and Oregon). And how many chances has this guy gotten to at least slow down the spread offense and mobile QB's. I just don't think he is an upper echelon coach.

Regarding the minority interview: I can't say I agree with you or disagree with you. Let's just say that it has crossed my mind. Since I think that he is not head coaching material yet, based on his performance at Michigan, I am leaning more toward the fact that his interview was just a way to appease the NCAA and other organizations. However, the Detroit media has been reporting for two years that English was being groomed for the head coaching position at Michigan. So, I don't know. This guy definitely is certainly very highly thought of in certain circles. I just never understood why.

I have no idea where he will end up. I have heard nothing. Maybe he should try the Lions. Nah, no one should go anywhere near the Lions.

MAN it is really great to have all of these good Michigan folks here on our board.

I don't know about the Hog fans, though . . . they seem to lower property values whenever they move into a neighborhood.

SM is a great talent, he sees the field well and makes great cuts, but if he keeps jumping over guys liek that a D1 Safety is gonna knock his head off his shoudlers.

He has a great O line also, watch how they get to the second level , they are fast and hold blocks well.

I am not taking anything away from the kid, he has a great knack for making people miss, but you have to see everything else that is happening in those highlights as well. I know he has been doing this since pee wee ball, and he is a great prospect.

Just hope he stops some of the aerial show before a Laurinitus(sp?) knocks him out.

that's the one thing i did notice is that while he is a great runner and can juke people he has a great line and his receivers know how to block which will work great in the spread offense

he is so small and surprised to see him go to michigan to begin with. i think he is a better fit for RR's system. no way he holds up.
