Man, you guys should quit dumping on Briles. The man felt really bad how that went down in Waco. And all people deserve a second chance. You have no ideal what happened. Just the usual media hyped stories.

sometimes you have to ask a not so attractive girl to the dance, just in case the pretty one turns you down.

Chances are they know more than we do about the specifics at Baylor during those issues.

It doesn't matter what the truth at Baylor really was. Briles is damaged goods. The court of public opinion has buried him and LSU has no business trying to rehab his image as the fricking head coach of your program.

Petrino "not even being considered," but Briles is?

Strange.

Briles would be a complete PR nightmare at LSU. I don't even think the powers that be are willing to risk it. The negative recruiting by rivals would be epic, imagine Saban, Sumlin, & others talking to Momma about her precious baby & how if he signed with a Briles led team, he would be signing with the devil himself.

Get your second chance somewhere else. It is a terrible decision from a PR standpoint, and that shite matters quite a bit when your talent has to be recruited.

You fire a coach that is known as a "nice guy" and look to hire a guy that will put LSU at a Penn State level of contempt. Smart.

I may be a little slow....but if JA fires Les today and doesn't have his man already in his pocket....he deserves to be fired.

Are there really no other candidates with similarly high powered offenses and absolutely NO baggage?

That is my issue with Briles. Why on earth would you reach out to him over similar offensive coaches?

They aren't talking to him about the HC position. They're trying to put together a competent offense.

Don't want Briles. He'd improve the offense but toss any semblance of defense into the gutter.

Aranda will be kept. Defense will be solid as frick.

Let Briles have a second chance at Idaho State or UC-Santa Barbara.

Not LSU.

That's a bit better, but I don't get the vibe that the Briles rumors are to come in as a coordinator. Hopefully you're right.

Hiring art briles PR wise is the biggest cluster ever.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, could be more of a cluster than keeping Miles on that Saturday of last November.

Let's do Briles to OC
