I hate the idea of the revolving door coaching position, I think we need to give the new coach 3 seasons at a minimum to turn things around.

The new coach will have a monster next year, talent finally being used correctly.

The pumpers who use to mock us for saying the clown in the white hat was winning with sabans players will not adopt that as their montra

you have to let his first recruiting class get to a junior level. so by the 3rd season they should be producing.

I'm legit worried about it.

I predicted that Miles' bull shite would start to affect recruiting and people can point to rankings all they want, but it is VERY obvious, we've had some recruiting holes.

After the guys who will be seniors next year, we have no legit SEC QBs on out roster. ZERO. Look, I hope Scott turns out OK, but recruiters weren't beating his or JMs doors down.

Whoever comes in next is another fricking year behind thanks to last fall's bull shite.

A new hire would have struggled this year but been able to fully recruit this fall.

NOW, whoever it is gets the double whammy.

The new coach needs to score 35 points by the end of the first quarter of the first game or I will dub him a FAILURE.

(I can live with 2-4 losses a year as long as the team is fun to watch. I just can't stomach another season of Miles' horrible offense.)

With Herman we would be in contention for the ship in 2 years.

I don't know how long it will take a new guy to right the ship, but I know how long it will take the Miles pumpers to come in here gloating over a loss.

Good coaches can produce from the outset with good talent. I wouldn't expect a top 10 team year one, but definitely top 25 and challenging for a playoff spot by year 3.

It all depends on the direction. This season is a wash but if we bring someone in now then we have plenty of time to see a difference in this situation but game 1-2 next year.

Honestly the 7 game stretch we have to end the season next year is about as rough as it could possibly get. I'd settle for a 8-9 win season being competitive in losses. Depending on the QB situation I'd expect to be close to an SEC championship within the next 2 years. So I'd say 3 years is a reasonable expectation.

Apparently you don't pay much attention to recruiting. Scott's was recruited pretty aggressively by the Big10 and ACC. And SEC Qbs are not good. AT any school except A&M and Ole Miss.

4 years- a new HC must have time to assemple a staff that he Chooses- but not merely from those available at present time. that may take 2 or 3 years, judge him on his 4th year results!!

well, we're going to see a mass exodus of talent like you wouldn't believe after this debacle, so it's going to be a Texas-like rebuild.

Sorry y'all.

3 to 4 years.

year 1 we are likely to have some transfers and just some players that aren't use to being held accountable/

year 2 should be pretty young players

year 3 we should expect improvement from year 1 and year 2. if we see improvement then he gets year 4. if it goes in reverse then boom fire.

I think that is a pretty fair assessment is giving 3 to 4 years when a coach is new.
