Say on a five day cruise what can you expect to spend above the base get on the ship price?
Drinks, tips, excursions etc?

That's a pretty broad question. Depends heavily on how much one drinks. What kind of and how many excursions. What ports you are visiting, etc.

That is really a broad question. I did research on cruisecritic.com before our Alaskan cruise. You can research drink prices and packages, excursions, etc. This information is on your cruise providers website also.

You drink beer or booze? If booze, buy some rumrunner flasks. I've used them on 3 cruises and have a 100% success rate. Put them in your checked bag....I've brought multiple fifths on each cruise and only end up buying a couple of drinks.
I've always prepaid the tips.
Excursions have cost me the most, but it depends on what you want to do. Where are you going? We did some badass excursions in Alaska that cost a good bit but were totally worth it.

Depends on how elaborate you want to make your trip and how heavy a drinker you are. Prepay your tips. Some cruises are offering drink packages now. Used to be for soft drinks alone but some are offering alcohol packages. Consult a good travel agent.

$100 per person, per day

Parking is $20 a day. Crew tips about $13ppd. Drinks are $6-10 plus 15% gratuity. Soft drinks are $2. Carnival lets you bring a 12 pack pp. Room service a couple bucks tip. Pictures about $15 a piece. Specialty coffee is extra. Steakhouse $35pp. And whatever you spend in ports. Figure about $50-100pp a day. The cruise might be the cheapest part of the trip.

There is really no way to answer that.
If you are really worried about over-spending on the cruise then I suggest buying the drink package, assuming you drink alcohol. Tip is included (although you can always tip more) in the price of the package. You also pay daily gratuities and those are a set price depending on the cruise line and exact type of room you have. You can pre-pay those if you wish, as well.
It is completely possible to get off of a cruise with a $0 balance if you plan ahead and have self control.
That goes for excursions, as well. Book ahead of time and pay them up front. If you have any OBC coming to you then put that toward any last minute excursions that you book on board or to cover any extra charges.

There are no easy answers to cruise questions.
Add about $5 to the port guys who take your bags.

Soft drinks and alcohol are not included.
Cokes are ~ $3 per can. Beers and mixed drinks are probably around $7 depending.
Gratuity is a set price per day, I recommend pre paying them. If you run into issues, you can always ask that they be reimbursed. You can also tip more if you like. I typically give my cabin steward a tip when I get on board and ask for wine glasses. Every night I have iced down beverages and new glasses on top of my good service. They also know your name from then on.
Excursions can be booked through the cruise line so you can see that ahead of time as well.
Expect about $50 per person on soft drink plan. $70 per person on gratuities and $80 - 100 per on excursions.

Im going this weekend on the oasis of the seas and I just paid $379.00 for the premium package all week drinks and tip included. Its steep but at the same time you only need 1 bc you can get your significant other a drink at any bar with it as well so its not a bad deal. Also paid $84 for 24 water bottles to the room. Then for dinner they had a package of $115/person for 5 night of dining at the nice restaurants. I dont know why they dont have 7 days thats silly so I gotta eat at the shite place for 2 day I guess I dont know we'll see. All in all $700 give or take for everything, suggest you do it all.

Its not steap and if you get caught the package will be removed from your stateroom account and you will not be refunded....I watched it happen to a guy by the pool on the LIberty of the Seas in February. For a little over $700, two people can drink all day every day for a week, its a bargain and it just makes things easier.

They dont. but unlike Carinval, Royal Caribbean does not force everyone in the room over 21 on the same account to get the same package.
