That's been my problem with Kaep from jump street. It's an open-ended, arbitrary protest. He'll stand when he feels the flag represents what it should. That could be for any length of time.
It's his right to protest what he wants, how he wants, but in order to be effective, a good protest needs a clear, measurable, attainable goal.

I'm not sure you understand the difference between punishment and consequences. Kicking her off the team for failing to pay a simple sign of respect when you are playing for the national team of that country is not punishment. But there may well be consequences. And if she isn't willing to accept those consequences, then she's not taking a principled stand; she's just grandstanding.

People have advocated for the forcible removal of these people from "my" country.
Where else does shite like this happen? I mean besides Cuba and North Korea, and a handful of fundamentalist Muslim countries?
