A 15-year-old boy who was trying to burglarize a house at 1775 March St. was arrested Friday about 10:30 a.m. after he was rescued from a chimney, where he'd been stuck for about an hour, said Baton Rouge Police Sgt. L'Jean McKneely.
The owner of the residence near the LSU lakes was not at home when the boy entered the chimney, but arrived home later and heard the boy's screams, McKneely said. The homeowner notified authorities.
A video published by WBRZ-TV shows the teenager being pulled out of a chimney by Fire Department personnel. The youth, with black dust on his white shirt, is later seen handcuffed by Baton Rouge Police officers, but he does not answer a reporter's question about why he was in the chimney.
The live video is on WBRZ's facebook page.

Its the chimney's fault, it should have never allowed a 15 yr old black male to get stuck in it.

If I were the homeowner, I think I would have had to have a little fun first. Light a fire for a few minutes, just enough to make him more scared.. Maybe even wait a little while before calling the authorities...

That kid's going to be in deep shite when his dad has to leave work to come bail him out of jail.

Glad this didn't happen in the winter. The homeowner might would have started a fire and ruined this kids future college path.

His dad must be at work.

I'm sure his school noticed he was missing, right?
