there is nothing scary about the bridge in lake charles until you are under it and see the rust.

Actually good discussion in this thread.

OP has a legitimate fear, nothing wrong with that. But damn, some of you get your panties in a wad over some guy who chooses to be afraid of the bridge?

I'll go ahead and say I've driven it frequently, and it's not the most fun thing to drive over. I feel much safer on the Horace Wilkinson.

It's been so long since I've driven the one in Port Arthur, forgot how tight it truly was.

I'm not adding a half hour to my trip because I'm not scared of heights.

I wouldn't either, unless it's raining. I'm not driving over that mother f*cker in the rain. I can't drive for other drivers.

Pretty sure the reason the i10 bridge hasn't been torn down is because the guns make it a louisiana monument. So show some appreciation, you get to drive on a historical monument, puss.

Whatever dude. You probably complain about the heat. I locked myself in a car with the windows up for 22 minutes when the outside temp was 95F. I have no problem with the heat.

Bridges though? Under wet conditions, yeah, I can't do it.

ETA: F*ck those guns and f*ck that bridge.

I would rather you punch me in the face than drive over that bridge in wet conditions.

So yeah, definitely not a puss. I'm just a guy with a phobia.

I'm sure you have a phobia of some sort. Spiders maybe.

I don't see how water can sit on that bridge. Probably pretty safe when wet

You think so? That makes me feel better.

It's still slick though. Feels like there is potential for hydroplane, especially with the steep incline.

I don't feel unsafe during the decline portion.

Some people are scared of bridges. In San Fransico there are people who actually run businesses driving people's cars across the GG bridge so they can get to and from work.

The only thing I was scared of in San Francisco was my parking pawl coming out and my parking brakes failing.

(yes I curbed every time)
Those are some steep arse streets.

I didn't think of it. Totally slipped my mind. I like the pistols on the railings.
