Ingrams Lack of Touches??

Ingram had 12 carries for 58 yards. 4.8 ypc
I would bet 10 of those 12 were in the first half.
It really seemed like Payton went away from him in the 2nd half and having a 14 pt lead in the 4th, you would assume they may try to get him the ball.
Did he get dinged or something, or was it Payton just being Payton??

It's against his DNA to stay committed to the run.

Typical Payton. If we had actually run the ball in the 4th quarter to eat the clock when we still had a 14 pt lead, then we probably win that game.

We scored 34 points with the play calling we had. I get what you are saying about trying to run more with a big lead, but that wasn't our problem yesterday.

We never had a 14 point lead in the 4th
It was 24-19 when we got the ball for the first time in the 4th. We needed points, unfortunately we were held to a FG on a stupid play call. Our other drive in the quarter was a TD when it was 27-27.
Time was never really an issue for Oakland

It helps to control the clock and keep their offense off the field

he had 2-3 good runs. Then 10 or so that didnt go over 3 yards. He wasn't really effective comparatively to what we were doing in the passing game

But at that point in the game scoring was not the important thing. Payton knew our liability on defense as well as the Raiders. We could've taken a 3 min rmdrive and turned into a 8 min drive then that completely changes the dynamic of the end of that game. My poiny is offensive play calling is just as important as defensive scheme and personnel when you are hanging on to win like that and Payton refuses to learn this. Yesterday has happened multiple times over the past 2 seasons.

Scoring wasn't the important thing in a 5 point game?

So we should get less first downs?
The ball didn't hit the ground (outside of penalties) until 2nd and goal from the 6
At what point were we in a position to just milk the clock and worry less about points?

I thought that brees was gonna walk in on that option keeper

It was just odd. Ingram was way too shallow it seemed for the play.

Dude gets a 17 yard run then immediately calls to have someone replace him.
Garbage.
Garbage.

I don't know wtf CSP's problem is but Ingram should have been the man from late 3rd until end of regulation. Half arse slants, dumps, screens, power and delayed runs to Mark would have easily gassed Oakland's defense. Snead, Thomas and Cooks set it up beautifully. Sometimes this shite really feels like sabotage just like in BR! Constanly snatching defeat from the grasps of victory.

we punted with 12:00 left in the 3Q & didnt punt again the rest of the game.
we scored 2 TDs and attempted 3 FGs from that point on
your point is invalid

Obviously not since we lost. And committed a few too many mistakes from the sideline
Posted on 9/12/16 at 1:49 pm to Jizzamo311
Offense is not the problem though. Its the defense. More or less carries we are still the most prolific offense in nfl.

just know that you couldnt be more wrong

I think bitching about the offense at all seems ridiculous. They were dominant. Brees was killing them. It worked.
