Matt Bryant is not known as a guy with a huge leg, and he has a 62 yarder when he was a journeyman at the beginning of his career.

David Akers was very similar, and he made a 63 yarder at age 38.

I promise you there are several guys not on NFL rosters right now who have the leg for 60 yard FGs. It's rare but it's not that rare.

To be fair, Forbath would have missed that 50 yarder as well

Like he did against the Giants last year?

Agreed. The only one that concerned me was the nearly blocked chipshot.

With the $ Brees makes we have to try to make do with too many sub-par players. This includes Kickers. Our Punter is another high paid player

I love Brees as much as anyone but I stand by my statement.

Which just goes to show exactly how little you understand about the NFL. Moron.

the K spot has been a source of agony for quite a few seasons.... so many missed opportunities that ended up on other teams and are doing very well... Santos, Hopkins, Forth.... guys that are good that we SHOULD have targeted, like Gould...

but we going after that small school diamond in the rough.... gotta catch that lightnin' in a bottle again, like they did a fricking DECADE ago....
