Would it be a shock at all that the "read" is predetermined by the coaches on the sideline? I would be shocked if it wasn't. They should put actual handcuffs on Harris instead of the figurative ones he has now.

Back to back "reads" and that is all I could really find.

IDK what the left side of the line is doing on this play or who BH should be reading in the first place, so I'm calling it a read is dubious.

On the second one I'd assume he is reading #43 the OLB and he made the correct call to give it to LF.

OK So the first play is def not a read. The LT is blocking the loose 9 and he is staring at the end to hold the LB'er's ... The second one you could assume is a Counter Read but they block the back side tackle.

These are Inside Zone and Counter GT, no reads involved

A Zone Read is when you leave someone unblocked and read the way they play the QB. For example if the unblocked Lineman (usually an End) takes the RB the QB runs where he was, if the End runs up field you hand it off and you block inside zone. Same concept with counter Read you don't block the (For example) 3 or 4 tech and if he follows the pullers the QB replaces him and you run it through the hole and block everyone else.

Just my view of the situation.

Harris isn't bright enough to zone "read" anything. No offense but there has been nothing inspiring about Harris at QB since he was given the starting role. I swear I do not understand why some on these boards honestly believe you can run an offense with a QB like Harris. How anyone can say it is the play calling when you have a QB who can't throw routine passes that incoming freshmen QBs at other schools can complete. To say you want LSU to open things up with a QB like Harris is comical.

Harris is bad. BAD.

ApexTiger for QB coach.

Yet I get 21 downvotes

Seriously, there is one play in the first half, Harris could have ran for 30 yards had he kept it

instead LF gets stuffed and we eventually punt.

When was the last time you recall Harris running by design?

Yall keep the down votes coming...but apex is just observing ..

If you never keep it, then it's like calling play action on 3rd and 9...

ApexTiger is 100% right about this! I remember one of those plays exactly. It made me jump up and yell like Hell at the TV!!! He looked straight at the DE running directly towards Fournette's perceived path and still handed it off. I don't think the DE paused to look at Harris at all either time!

Thank you for paying attention

it's in HDTV if our fans want to "review the play"

It's in one of the LF "every run" cuts on youtube
