No, it does not. The only way an interim would happen is because of the pressure a JSU loss would put on the administration. Otherwise Miles will coach through the end of the season. It's just kind of how it works.

If LSU is sitting at 3-3 at the halfway point and the offense still looks putrid, LSU has no choice but to fire Les. You can't leave a lame duck coach in place, and Les has not earned the right to finish out the year given last season. The sooner they turn the page, the sooner the next chapter can start especially with recruiting.

Doubt it. His buyout will be millions less after December 31. My guess is they wait until January 1 to officially fire Les. They would, I would hope, already have the successor lined up long before that (but we've seen that movie before).

I dont see how firing les mid season accomplishes anything. Unless you think the interim coach will win more games. And I just can't buy in that they would be able to change enough to do that.

The new coach will still be at his other school, not thinking or working on LSU.

Unless it's briles, and in that case come on down today. (not suggesting briles fyi)

You can think what you want, but that simply isn't how these kind of things happen. This isn't about what TigerDroppings wants. Major CFB programs don't fire head coaches, particularly those with tenure, mid season. My personal feelings on the topic don't change the fact that barring a loss to JSU, Miles will finish the season as the HC.
