Watch the Wisconsin game. It's a three hour lie.

Also, if the quoted part is true, this administration is spineless. If he's out because the "lies were too much", can him. Don't leak that kind of shite and then hedge your bets in case he goes on a run.

The idea that miles deserves any type of fair treatment from the administration is laughable. He got another chance to right the ship and made promises then proceeded to do the same old shite. He doesn't deserve any consideration moving forward. He actually deserves to be shitcanned today. Any days that he is employed by LSU from this point is consideration enough.

Having the guts to either fire him if he lied or keep your mouth shut until he loses more games =/= suggesting the administration is doing Miles wrong.

I wouldn't mind losing to Auburn or whoever but it's a damn shame to lose this class which is probably the most talented class ever.
Shoulda got rid of the arse clown last year so this year could have been historic.

At this point it's impossible for the administration to "do miles wrong" miles had a chance to save his job and simply chose not to. Now he will be dumped at the first opportunity and rightly so.

Playoffs are out of the picture if we lose to Auburn, and if we lose to Auburn, there is no way in hell we go the rest of the schedule unscathed. I'm just being real here.

agreed. At that point I'd rather let Coach O have a shot at turning it around than watch the ship sink with Les the rest of the year

We wont lose to AU.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Miles is 2-3 at Auburn and we got beat down 41-7 last time we were there by a mediocre Auburn team. We rarely ever play well there. Our last win there was a 12-10 squeaker against an Auburn team that went 0-8 in the SEC (and we went 10-3). Their D looks a lot better this year.

AU also had Clemson on the ropes Saturday until the very last second. It was a Hail Mary in the end zone that bounced off the AU receiver's hands. Would have won the game.

Have yall really forgotten what this administration at the very least allowed to happen, and quite possibly perpetuated, for a solid 3 weeks last year leasing up to the A&M game?

You're clearly missing the point. My statement is a criticism of the administration on their own merits. It has nothing to do with Miles. If they want him gone because he lied, then fire him now.

I think they should fire him now anyway. The longer this toxic environment hangs around, the less chance anything positive results from it.

Maybe, but it would essentially be an unprecedented move from a major college. A midseason firing happens to guys like Kiffin, not Miles. I'm not necessarily criticizing the decision, but it is very rare. Bowden finished the season. Mac Brown finished the season. Lloyd Carr got to finish. Outside of a resignation, I don't see a scenario where an interim head coach is named for the regular season, and as an LSU fan, I don't think it would be a good thing anyway. What if the interim is successful - like like 5-1 to finish the season or something? Is this fanbase prepared for Dave Aranda or Orgeron as a permanent fix?

I would do it now, and only because the media and admin created this shitstorm of uncertainty.

I work as a public affairs official (not in Louisiana), and I'm telling you it is toxic. You can't let it hang around. We don't have the option now to follow the UGA model, or just hope he wins enough to stay another season.

How long do you think it would take that stability to unravel next season if he stayed?

We'd be right back where we are now.

It must stop before it scares any potential candidates worth anything away and sets this program back to the 90s.

Yeah, but you forget that Miles had his chance to finish the season and "retire" last year. He didn't do that. Also, his team and humongous expectations for this season, and rightfully so.

Are you serious? They would be evaluated for the position along with other HCs, if they don't get it, they have a choice to stay or go.

If Miles loses to Auburn, he's likely out. If he loses to Auburn and Florida, I have no idea how he stays another game.

The toxic situation will be gone Sunday. If LSU wins, it will fall out of the national headlines and be confined to the local stuff. If they lose, it will be over anyway.

If you'r win public affairs then you know it is all about surviving the initial storm. It has peaked today. It will slowly start to fade as this week's games begin and the NFL starts up.

That's not to say it will be gone for good, but it will subside.

You have a point but it's not that simple. Yes, other headlines will distract which can be good.

But the mind works in strange ways.

Say AU comes up a loss. Or Bama. Arky. Each time that hits the headlines. Each time the media rake you over the coals.

Yet there's no response you can give to the question: what action(s) are you taking to resolve this?

It's not only duration, but frequency that triggers response. Eventually candidates are going to see it either long enough or frequently enough that they won't want any part of it.

I'm not even looking at the playoffs right now but I agree with you. We lose to Auburn, there's very little chance we go without losing other games.

Auburn has their own troubles on offense but their defense looked pretty solid against Clemson.

And it is at Auburn.

I hate that is has come to this. Our roster is too talented.
