Yet, they more they were coached, the more they regressed.

What is CLM putting in their head?

We recruit the complete wrong people for the quarterback position of this offense.

The B Harris we saw against New Mexico State his Freshman year was outstanding. No hesitation, no overthinking, put every pass right on the money. And sure, NM St was a garbage team, but he couldn't complete a pass last year against Eastern Michigan.

Damn it's so true. Jennings looked like he was the answer when he came off the bench against Arkansas in 2013. Harris looked great against SHSU, NMST, and MSU.

I'll be honest. I never thought JJ or Jennings was good enough to be starting QBs. I always wanted JLee over JJ and Harris over Jennings.

But to answer your question, I don't know

It's all between the ears and on the sideline. The coaches refuse to let them learn from experiences and mistakes on the field. And since they are handcuffed their confidence is hurt along with them not developing. The QBs just try and do too much because they know they won't get many chances.

Not sure, but apparently it is reversible if they move to Lafayette.

Jennings set a career high for completion percentage @ 63.6% (21-33) and completions (21), 8 more than his previous best.

That's a skewed stat. I can't remember a time where Jennings was the starting QB and we were down 38-10 before we started passing the ball. I'm sure if that was the case, his stats would have been similar as would Harris stats.

He started like 9 for his first 10 attempts.

I mean they got their asses handed to them, no doubt, but even in creampuff games at LSU Jennings was 50% or so.

I've said it before I'll say it again

Regression is the norm for QBs and WRs in this system

The longer they are exposed to CLM & CCC'S corrosive total disdain for the passing game and their risk aversion pathology the more the players confidence and their performance deteriorate !

Mett was a late transfer and thus exposed to positive influence from his coaches at UGA &JUCO so Cam and Miles had less time to screw him up.

Jarvis Landry was self coached and Odell Beckham was a once in a generation talent like Fournette They0
were the exceptions to the rule!

OLinemen are not impervious either as they are progressively demoralized and lose confidence because they are constantly required to run block against 8-9 man fronts or pass block on third and 8-9 yd situations

It is very hard to successfully block defenders who know exactly where the ball is going before the snap on every play!

I'm just sayin....

This is true. QBs start off promising and inexplicably get worse.

I remember General Lee against Auburn. Thought that was the beginning of greatness.

Thought JJ was the savior later that year, I think against Ole Miss wen he provided a spark.

Same for AJ against Ark. And then again with BH.

So maybe LSU just needs to put in a new QB every game or two.

They play to not turn the ball over instead to win.
