There is nothing I want more from Hollywood than Mel Gibson back making/acting in movies consistently.

The only medal of honor recipient who was a conscientious objector and survived the war (two others died in Vietnam and were awarded)
Pretty amazing stuff.
Should be a good movie.

Looks like there will be lots of cringeworthy lines

"Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"
Dude...that's amazing dialogue! Nothing cringeworthy about it.

wish Gibson had done a trilogy of the Spanish Conquistadors...and the beginning of Part 2 is the ending of Apocalypto.
Would be glorious

Looks pretty powerful.
Not sold on facebook dude though. He was such a bitch in the social network, although I understand that was pretty much designed.

He may be batshit crazy but by god the son of a bitch knows story structure. Or something like that from South Park.

From most accounts, the blacklisting was initiated by his rants against Jews. This is not a racial slam, in any way, but it is pretty factual that a lot of Hollywood is "run" by Jews & he slammed them pretty hard. I never saw any drop off in his acting & I liked all of his movies post ranting.

I think the rant was induced by the way he was treated for The Passion of the Christ. Like it or not, the film was true to the events depicted within the Bible. I didn't see it as negative towards Jews at all. I don't know where Hollywood got the brilliant idea that it was anti-semitic.
He finally had a meltdown due to all the stress and fallout from the making and marketing of that film.

He's ranted about everyone. Kind of bummed that he's Catholic and left us out of his ravings.
All the Terrible Things Mel Gibson Has Said on the Record
My favorite:
"What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?" — to female police officer during 2006 DUI arrest

To be fair, calling a police officer "sugar tits" is pretty awesome

He hasn't directed anything since Apocaplyto in 2006.
Really well done by Mel.
The tolerance of Hollywood

Hollywood is a bastion of tolerance and acceptance......just so long as you agree with their worldview.
