What's the deal with the o-line play

It's seems to me that every other play they were getting beat with simple stunts and twist. Missing a lot of assignments against a mediocre but discipline defense.

they look fat and slow tbh

Well, when you have the same blocking assignment from using the same play over and over, the defense adjust to it and straight up take advantage of it.

To be fair they were getting whipped right out of the gate. Coaching sucks though. Can't lay an egg like that with all the returning starters we had. This was as underwhelming and unexplainable of a performance since 1/9/12. Im not one to call for a coaches head but we aren't headed in the right direction. We bought the hype coming into the season and we got burnt.

They really did look just really untalented at times. Which still falls on coaching how can we not develop solid lineman the way we have recruited.

Some of it is scheme & design. Don't know how much, but some.
Yesterday Wisky S & LBs looked like Bama 5*'s. Because of playing the %'s, they thought they could risk being up close to LoS, or creeping up anyway. In many cases a running start, they just crashed the line. [scheme]
If an OL vacated a gap (by pulling or going for 2nd level), the LBer never worried about play action or having to cover a TE (DE's did some btw). Since they were already close & creeping, or crashing, they were able to both eliminate cut back lanes and disrupt running plays. Often they only got a piece of LF7, but that's all it took because everyone else was waiting on him at the point of attack.
I mention Bama above because they did the exact same thing against us last year. S & LB's chasing LF down from behind on a run play behind the LoS because where the OL pulled to was clogged up.
Creeping and crashing is very effective against zone blocking schemes too. If you're willing to take the risk. With LSU's fear of throwing across the middle and no established threat from the QB to run, hence the run-pass-option schemes in vogue today, the D knows until you do something different then it's probably worth it 1 time a first down to get you off of schedule or behind the sticks. Also severely degrades and OLs ability to adjust to anything else new.

Wasnt the same plays.
They didn't block on sweeps, I formation plays, toss plays, passing plays, screen plays etc.
The oline was horrible. Adjustments need to be made.

Kinda hard when there are 10 defenders on the line knowing the play call..--blame les

They were the worst unit be far yesterday, barely edging out whatever shite we throw out on special teams now.
OL got dominated from start to finish and that was purely on them, not the scheme. They couldn't pass block to save their lives.

they look like a fat and slow VATECH OL

Guards are playing tackle, and a 6'7 senior lineman either couldn't beat out the guards or wasn't given the opportunity. Ideally, Teuhema plays guard, Boutte is the backup, and somebody needs to stake a claim at RT. SOMEBODY has to want it bad enough

Grimes is a horrible hire pure and simple. Thus o line has been horrible every year under him. Constantly rated high to start every season then underproduce.

Look pro style I thing wasn't working, put Harris in shot gun the whole game. Get ball to RB's in flat, run wheel routes, quick hits/posts to WR's.

There was times where there was 3-4 man fronts/rush. They couldn't block them at all. So it's not about how many Wisky had in the box.

Harris got creamed in the shotgun yesterday. one play the LB went in untouched and BH didn't even have time to hand the ball off.
