son's godfather. He supposedly will have a big hand in who the new coach is and is, obviously, very good friends with Saban. I also saw another observation that makes you think. People think that Saban is only interested in the almighty dollar but that is not necessarily true. He left Mich State for more money and, more importantly, a better chance to WIN. He won at LSU and left here for more money and what he was convinced was a prime opportunity to turn around another slepping giant. He got there to find unreal expectations and a program that once was great and may never be again. He saw the handwriting on the wall and took a pay cut to go back to college ball to the best opportunity available. He has had one year there and, by some accounts, is not happy because expectations are too high and the pressure is too great. He knows the SEC is much more difficult than it was when he was at LSU. He is in a pressure cooker job now that will stay that way until he leave voluntarily or gets fired. Now the opportunity may present itself for his family to get back to their roots by taking a much lower pressure job at a program where he can compete for championships every year. He can be the king of West Virginia and be worshipped by it's fanbase without having to leave up to a dead guy's legacy. Things could get interesting if WV comes knocking on Saban's door in Tuscaloosa.
