Nicest lady in the world. You wouldn't know she has a nickle. Not a pretentious bone in her body.

Buddy is a nice man, fwiw. And it's not like people go out and lobby to have stories like this written about them. Just a writer looking for a topic.

Its not a news piece. Looks like a lifestyles freelancer who wanted to put out something for the tiny house craze, she reached out to friends and found someone who had downsized. "Special to The Advocate" means it was written by someone who isn't on staff and is paid by the story.

You've never worked in a news media outlet.

Oh please.. that ain't sh*t! The Alabama newspapers all owned by the same company only run "stories" related to fast food, rich homes, and weddings. News is something they don't do anymore either.

Also: Did that old lady call The Advocate and say "Hey, Buddy and I are buying a smaller house, you wanna do a story on that?" How the hell else would it come to be a story?

That is exactly how it works, a large portion of the stuff you see in local publications is there because someone just called the newspaper/magazine or TV station and said we did "blank" or we are planning to do "blank" , would you be interested in covering it or writing about it?

How is it a "classic Hayes Town house" when it was designed by Tommy Cockfield?

Not trying to be an arse, sounds like nice people. Just curious.

God forbid that ANYONE dare to do ANYTHING post flood. Personally I think they should cancel LSU Football, institute another permanent curfew and close all bars and restaurants until such time as all homes are repaired. This fun having cant be tolerated while others are sad.

fricking this.

I was told that Louisiana people picked themselves up and moved on, but judging by the poopooers of anything positive on this board, I'm not sure that's true.
