That's disappointing but what is worse is I have seen a picture of our law makers doing the same thing. They are sent to DC to represent the great people of this country and they don't stand for the National Anthem. That to me is 100 times worse than some dumb athlete not showing respect

They should do hand stands during the anthem if they really wanted to rustle some jimmies

Typical of the trash that LSU produces

Everyone should listen to T-Bob Hebert's response about this whole situation. Basically says it is more American to stand up for what you believe in than to just fall in line with what is accepted and that if everyone was cool with what they were doing than it wouldn't be a very good way to protest.

Ashamed, a disgrace, will never mention him again.

Dancing to the National Anthem would rustle jimmies more than that.

IMO what they are protesting about is the big an issue to most people as anything.
America has bent over backwards to help minorities in past 30 years.
Get the F over it, quit acting like a GD TPOS everywhere you go, pull your fricking pants up and talk like normal human being by using complete sentences and they'd prob be amazed how much of this "oppression" goes away.
At what point do you stop blaming someone else and take some ownership in your own life?
frick, so sick of it.
fricking crybabies.

I posted in one of these threads a few days back.
I think the day after that, I stopped caring.
I will enjoy hearing him booed, but otherwise IDGAF anymore. He won't have another sponsor. Probably be out of the league in a couple years.
The fact that his media cycle will last longer than the dead men he sits for did should speak to him, and make him slowly loathe himself more.

This Eric Reid?

All this faux outrage over the respect showed during the national anthem and no one will bat an eye when 40k LSU fans replace "home of the brave" with "home of the Tigers" tomorrow afternoon.

Was Reid protesting the flag or showing support for kaepernick? I know both can be considered the same but maybe Reid didn't think this through and didn't realize he was disrespecting the flag.

Looks like somebody's been too long on the left coast.

Clearly the same.
So taking a knee is disrespectful but replacing "home of the brave" with "home of the Tigers", a fricking football mascot, is perfectly acceptable?
Face it, most of you don't give a shite about respecting the national anthem until you find someone black doing it for reasons you don't approve. Same shite during the Olympics.

Nice to see you being you again.
First of all, there is nothing faux about a lot of this outrage. People are legitimately pissed at Kaep's actions, and his reasoning for his actions.
Second, I'm fairly certain you can see the difference in changing one word of the anthem at football game compared to publicly protesting by not acknowledging the anthem for "what it represents."
