Joel Klatt: "I think he's completely arrogant and selfish for trying to do what he does and quite frankly he's behaved like that for a long time, the whole speech at Florida had more I's than it did teams and we's.

As a backup in the NFL, he talked about how much he wanted to start as a backup. You never hear backups talking about how much they want to start.

He was given the chance to go to Canada and was told by NFL executives and personnel that 'Hey if you want to play football in the NFL which was your quote unquote dream for so long or at least that's what you stated publicly than you need to go to Canada and work it out.' He was afforded that opportunity and he said no because he had other things to do like be on TV.

And now all of a sudden he wants to go and just kind of jump to a baseball career? I don't think it's right. I don't think it's very fair to the minor league baseball players that are actually being around and are actually quality players. This screams of publicity and arrogance and narcissism and it frustrates me because this guy preaches that he's everything else but that's all his actions actually say and do."

Whats wrong with wanting to start as a backup? Doesn't that show drive? Obviously he ended up not having the arm for it,and in my opinion the ability to adjust to NFL defenses. Are people on here really giving Tebow crap for trying something else which everyone has been saying he should have done in the first place? Holy frick you people.

Let me translate.

"I played minor league baseball, and I'm mad a guy can just walk in and pick up a bat and do what it took my whole life to do. I like to inflate my ego by saying how hard baseball is and only guys who have dedicated their lives to it can do it. So I don't like Tebow doing it because I'm selfish and don't want an outsider in my beloved baseball."

I love how much Tebow gets in people's heads. This dude is really critizing a speech a 21 year old tebow made immediately following a a heartbreaking loss during an undefeated season. Jimmies are definitely rustled.

But it's cool for those guys to quit playing minor league baseball and start playing college football. Is it fair to the college football players that are actually being around and are actually quality players? I could barely type that out because that is one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard.

Never heard of this guy but he sounds like a complete buffoon. I'd find it hard to imagine him being a good analyst when he can sound so dumb on this subject.

He's taking up one whole roster spot out of what, a couple thousand or more minor leaguers? He's not throwing hundreds of guys out of work. The minor leagues exist to identify and develop potential major league talent, regardless of who they are or how they got there, whether they were drafted out of high school or swam over from Cuba.

I'm not a Tebow fan or a Tebow hater. Let him try, If he makes it, it's a great sports story. If not, he gave it a shot and doesn't have to wonder what if.
