Who is playing Whistling Straits on Friday? I have a group going and wouldn't mind putting a big skins game together if there will be quite a few LSU people there.

Our time is around 11am but we are going to try and get off early in the morning if they let us so we can play 36.

If interested in skins game shoot me an email.

Fortunately for you and your wallet, I am playing Thursday...

That reminds me, I need to find out the course record so I have a number to shoot for.

Damn. That's aggressive. But Whistling Straits is a bucket list course for sure.

That was funny. Not long after some dude pulled up on a boat and made his kid jump in and get the club.

Try not to treat the course like Davis Love and Steve Stricker treats David Toms. It is legal to frick a person but it is not legal to frick a course.

I played Blackwolf Run Meadow Valleys last Wednesday. Greens were insane good. Closest thing to pool felt I have ever seen. If it's dry, they'll be pushing 12.5. Have fun gents.

That's all I keep thinking. God I want to be one of these guys who can:

A) Afford to take off 1-2 days of work

B) Afford tickets

C) Afford Flights

D) Afford lodging

E) AND afford a weekend of playing several PGA courses.

I need to get out of education and make some money...

I played Meadows at Blackwolf Run and the Straits back in April. Blackwolf run has two awesome golf courses and they are in better condition than any other course I've ever been on and I've played some really nice courses over the years. The straits is just one of those courses that it's impossible to not have fun playing there. They have posts up where the pros played from in the PGA and the caddies will show you some of the ridiculous tee boxes and visuals that they played from. When you get down to it though, the course is very visually intimidating but it's not as hard as you would think. We played from the blues which I think are around 7200 yards or something like that and I shot an 89. My buddy playing with me shot an 81 and he's around a 3 handicap. It's an awesome experience. When you walk up to the tee box on hole 3 with Lake Michigan on your left, that's when it really starts to sink in how beautiful that golf course really is. Enjoy it man. You'll love it.

Just an FYI.... The greens were fricking blazing in April, so who knows how fast they are in August. Be careful with the greens or you'll be chipping back up out of some of the valleys in front of the greens.
