I just don't get it; the guy has to sit out an entire year when he was in the mix for the No. 3 WR spot on a national championship team.

Good luck to TJ, though.

The same thing Diarse and Quinn saw in johnson and Chark, Johnson saw in Ferguson/Davis/Anderson/Sullivan.

Wish him nothing but success at Oklahoma State, but it's only a positive sign for us a player of his caliber left for greener pastures.

Agreed, next season you would think he would be a #1 or #2, giving him plenty of reps and opps. Unless he thought the underclassmen were going to pass him.... Believe Ok St was one of his finalist when he was a HS recruit.

More than just being "in the mix" for the #3 receiver (and by some accounts, he may have been losing ground there), it could be how they planned on using him and how well he thought that worked to showcase his skill set for the next level.

And in my opinion, these kinds of transfers are more about trying to get in a position to be drafted as much or more than it is about about playing time in the short term. I absolutely do not fault a kid for transferring when he's trying to make the best decision for his future. There's several players who left LSU and it didn't work out. Then, every once in a while, you have someone like Paul Turner, who is on the verge of making it with the Eagles now. Hard to say if Turner would've had that chance if he stuck it out at LSU.

Like you, I hate to see it as a fan-- especially since we just might have a legit chance to make a BCS run. I'm sure that weighs on him as well, but I've got no beef with his decision and wish him well.

What's that equal? Like 5 catches a year in our offense?
