I worry about you folks. Throw away a $200+ shucker because you can't use it correctly?

You're supposed to use it on the hinge(where it's not paper thin), break the seal (without crushing the damn thing), then take a clean oyster knife to open it fully while cutting it from both sides of the shell.
I swear...you people.

I also worry about people who can't fully comprehend. I said it was a shucker gadget, I didn't say it was the one you are showing. The one I had cost around $40 and was given to me. It had a wood base that broke after the first oyster, I repaired it only later to find out it sucked at shucking. I told the guy who gave it to me to come pick it up and he said no just throw it away which I gladly did.
Shortly after I invested in a custom oyster knife with a mesquite handle tailored made to the size of my hand. I can now open with a similar pace as those who do it for a living.

They're pieces of shite. I shucked thousands of oysters throughout college and all those shuck-o-matics did was slow me down. Much more efficient to get an experienced shucker with a glove and a blade.
Op should be able to find someone in Florida, especially for 2-3 sacks. That's nothing
