During his show Tuesday, Rome said it was a “jerk move” by Harbaugh and said the coach is just as “miserable” as he was in San Francisco.

Harbaugh has been known to make biting, not-so-subtle responses on Twitter, and did so Wednesday morning clearly in response to Rome:

“Do you remember the provocateur who went personal with another Big 10 QB and had the tables turned on him? #dejavu” Harbaugh wrote and then included a video link from 1994 when former Rams quarterback Jim Everett, who played at Purdue, had finally had enough with Rome’s antics during a television interview.

quote:

Rome, on his “The Jim Rome Show” on Tuesday, said the questions Harbaugh was asked Monday night were fair and then continued to rant about Harbaugh.

“Maybe you forgot over the summer that it’s their job to cover your team, not asking you what your favorite Drake album is,” Rome said on his show. “Just like they’re not there to write another tired story about your latest throwback jersey, or your Walmart khakis, or your latest shirtless photo from satellite camp, or another (attack) on the SEC.

“They’re not on your staff, they do not work for the university. You preside over an alleged national power. If you suspend guys, reporters are going to ask you about it. They’re just doing their job, so you should do yours and answer the question.”

His face after that Sparty blocked punt brought a smile to mine

It does take a certain type of personality disorder to make Jim Rome seem likable by comparison.

He's definitely on the spectrum. I'm just hoping Michigan gets three more years before he has a colossal melt.

I can't even fathom having to deal with him for 4 or 5 years. He's just so much to take.

It's really not that bad. If he wins big, all of this is forgotten.

I'm just talking on a personal level. Say, if I was an intern in his building or something, idk. I think he makes life miserable for people who work around him.

Does Harbaugh not realize that Chris err...Jim Everett interview is what brought Jim Rome a good part of his popularity. Hell, that's the first thing I think of when Rome's name comes up

so does Lord Saban....most people with their personalities will. That doesn't bother me.

Jim has just seemed to become an attention whore. He gets in twitter feuds like a a female teenager.

Does he thou? It went bad in SF, but I don't remember any issues at Stanford.

I was already at this point 9 months ago. Dude is insufferable, and the way writers fawn over his twitter #burns like schoolboys is pathetic and embarrassing.

Lord Saban is pretty easy to read, though. Just do your fricking job. He'll occasionally blame other people for stuff that could be his fault, but for the most part, he's just the Kobe of coaching. Do your fricking job and want to win as much as he does, and you're good.

Jim is a lunatic.

That's all I got.

Yeah Rome has softened over the years but his first 10 years he was an arrogant SOB who treated athletes like they were there to belittle.

There were issues at Stanford. The players all realized that if they could put up with him for a few years they got a free Stanford education. Also Stanford football gets very little press coverage.

They should call the OSU vs Michigan game " The Battle of Insufferable A_ _ hole Coaches".

Rome typically trashes athletes from a distance, but then he gets them on his show and he kisses their rear.

At least that's what I saw last I saw of him. The Everett ordeal was a while back.. he absolutely isn't that way to them in person any more.. so I agree he has softened there, but he's still very much unlikeable.

Do not care for Rome at all.
