A high ankle sprain would linger most of the season and really limit him.

Ugh. Hope it is nothing major.
But, yeah, shut him down. Season can't get here fast enough. Cancel practice and wrap them ALL in bubble wrap and be done with it.

Unfortunately true. We've seen this in the past. It's almost better to sit out until it's fully healed.
