some people just can't handle losing.

I will say I do find solice in making people who have the rap music up loud trying to talk shite before the game starts quit. Those are the best. Especially when they start making excuses and blaming the game for their mistakes.

I don't quit. If I'm getting beat head to head I take it and try to get better from it. I've given some beatings and taken some too. Part of the fun.

You learn so much about yourself when your getting your teeth kicked in. It makes it easier to correct the mistakes once you get over the fact you are losing and pay attention to why you are losing.

Why do they never update the Superdome?

I'm probably in the minority but I like the fumbles. Especially when they hit a button as I sack them and the ball falls backwards. Love it!

I was complaining about them but I don't mind it actually be in the game. Just not something I'm used to. I do think it's more realistic now.

Exactly. Makes you a better player. When you're getting blown out you can try new things that you probably won't do when you're afraid of losing.

I know in the previous maddens I would knock Brady on his arse all game long and not once would I get a fumble. It's nice to see that you could get a fumble without just going for the strip fumble IMO.

Defense is back

I'm really digging this year's game. I was gonna pass on it till Black Friday or whenever it goes on a good sale because it looked like an updated Madden 16. It's a much better sim game. That I like. I think reading that you can't pull Down lineman off the line was a major selling point

That glitch is retarded that tips on run/pass. You just have to be careful and not run commit too much, they will audible at the last second and hurry and snap and you are screwed. Everybody knows about the glitch now.

Does anyone have any tips for playing defense? Playing on All-Pro and lost my opener 31-24 to the Pats. Couldn't stop a nose bleed. Usually use a DE or OLB and speed rush but I got no pressure and Brady made me his bitch.

My advice is build a team with a strong o-line and d-line.
PA passes are very hard with the bills o-line.
I guess this game is more realistic in that the game is won in the trenches.

Have they fixed where they spot the ball? Last year it would routinely be spotted short.

Haven't played this version yet but in 16 I basically always played as a blitzing LB on the strong side and would change his assignment to a spy. That allowed me to react faster to a run or to drop back in to pass coverage and be able to roam freely and not be confined to a zone. Really improved my numbers on defense.

I don't know about this one since I haven't played Madden in years. But I did experience an awful spot glitch last night. Playing with my buddy I missed a 55 yard FG (LOS was 38) and it gave him the ball on his 45 instead of 38. That's a difference maker when someone gets the ball with 2 minutes left in the game.

I've seen my fair share of glitches so far in this game.

- I called a pass play that had a guy in motion and at the LoS, pre-snap I audibled him to just a standard slant route since the corner was pressing and when I went to throw him the ball because he was wide open, my QB threw a 300 mph ball to the sideline.

- In one of the last running gauntlet solo challenges, you have to score a rushing TD each quarter and prevent the CPU from scoring more than 15 points. You start off with the ball, 3 minutes in the first quarter. Several times I would run one play and then *poof* I'm magically in the 2nd quarter with 3 minutes to go effectively ending my chances of scoring a TD each quarter. Also, if you score a TD as time expires in a quarter, it doesn't count.

Then there are the standard, ball warps through your guy so your opponent can catch it, or your opponent yells go go gadget speed and warps to a pass.

That's not a glitch. It's the way football works. You don't get the ball at the line of scrimmage in that case. You get the ball where the holder had the ball.

I think the computer on All-Madden is actually harder to stop than 3/4 of the people I play online this year...

I just won a close game only attempting one pass Demarco Murray ran for 167 yards on 13 carries. I'm seeing people go all in on the run when they see if I'm running that once I get to the second level, there's usually nobody there.

I think that's what I like most about the game so far, is the challenge.

I'm playing with an all-pro slider set that I'm really enjoying. I'm 5-3 and every game is coming down to the wire.

I'm finding myself being extra cautious early and build a lead. I know that just because I go up by 17 early does not mean I'm going to walk away with it like in the past. I can easily get stopped 3-4 drives in a row.

There isn't as much, "if I run this play I know I'll pick up the first down" type of stuff. Nor is there a go-to defense that will almost always get me a sack, or a stop, to get off the field.

I like not knowing if I'm even going to be able to make the playoffs.
