This is the problem I have with democrats. If you don't agree with them, they point fingers and name call.

This is the house that is listed on file with Secretary of State.

It appears as if his business partner is a resident of Ascension Parish.

we need to bring up a proposal that BR businesses need to be owned by BR residents.

Some depts you drive your pov to your assigned district. Get out of civilian clothes and into your uniform before going in roll call.
The unit you and your partner go to your assigned unit and do a daily check. Then you relieve the prior shift.
The unit stays in the city.
Bigger depts can do this while smaller depts may not have the personnel to do this.

Originally I believe BRPD officers use to have to park their units at their district. In the 1970's or early 1980's they allowed people to take their vehicles home which at that time a lot of the officers lived in EBRP. The thinking behind this was BRPD would have more visibility in the neighborhoods.

As far as residency what they should do is say if you live in EBRP you can take your assigned car home. If you live outside EBRP the vehicle is parked at your district and officers outside EBRP have to drive their pov to work. Then people cannot say anything about the vehicle costing the city parish extra money because the vehicles should stay in EBRP most of the time.

I live in Ascension, and it's 14.4 miles from my house to the BRPD office on Airline. It's 25.1 miles from the BRPD HQ to Zachary High School. It would be better financially for me as an Ascension resident to drive than the cop living across from Zachary high

It is for liability most larger depts require uniform patrol to keep vehicles inside their jurisdiction.

I seen a BRPD officer haul tail lights on no siren through bellview drive in Plaquemine, LA, drive down LA 1 blasting through a 30 mph zone almost causing 3 accidents, flying down LA 1 almost slamming into the back of a chemical tanker slowing down to cross a rail road crossing, running a red light in Addis missing a car, running through a school zone barely missing a school bus turning on to the service road. All this to respond to an accident on the New Miss River Bridge which had 3 officers already in the scene.

1. The citizens on the road in these parishes should not be put into dangerous situations when BRPD should have had officers on duty inside the city to handle an accident.

2. If that unit would have hit someone why should I as a tax payer in EBRP pay for accidents in a city parish vehicle that should have never been outside this parish.

3. This officers would have never passed driver training in the academy in a larger dept. If he would have had me as an instructor I would have failed him immediately. He risked way to many lives to respond to an accident which had officers already on the scene.

I notice everyone is talking about this as if all of the take home vehicles are marked patrol cars. The absolute biggest wastes I've seen were with "investigators" or civil administrators getting unmarked take-homes just as a perk for being buds with the boss and/or sleeping with him.

At the very least, this needs to happen. I see a ton of BRPD cars driving around Livingston Parish, stopped at stores, etc and there's really no reason for BR tax payers to pay for it.

Just a quick observation, as a homeowner, if you don't own a weedeater, do you just pour a gallon of gas around your mailbox?

So the consensus is the black community wants more black officers, so they'll bend the rules until they get what they want. So they get black officers who are lenient to black criminals, i.e., they don't enforce the law. How is more black on black crime beneficial to the black community?

BR City Council is gaining steam on Nawlins in terms of mega-retarded. Used to laugh in late 1990s at a friend's Metairie apartment watching the NO CC meetings hijinks..North BR now has BR's CC nearing the same level of folly..

Just a few more Banks and Marcelles and voila..kiss this city goodbye..self-sabotage-ville!

Kip and Weston-Broome are operating on a whole 'nother level of intelligence than these North BR City Council folks..hope NBR can notice the distinction when voting for Mayor,etc..otherwise BR is doomed!
