No way were they going to let their top draw lose a fight that was that close. No way.

That being said, the fight was extremely close and could have gone either way. I have no problem with the decision.

Super impressed with Conor. I can't believe he had the restraint to not rush for the kill with those knock downs. I thought he was dead in the water in round 3 and managed to get a second wind in rounds 4 and 5. Nate should have been more aggressive. He dominated the fight when he'd walk Conor down.

Diaz let up in the late rounds. This fight was rehearsed and executed well. Boys getting three big pay checks! That's all they were focused on.

Conor won that clearly 48-47. He won 1, 2 and 4. No debate, really.

Add the 5th to that, Nate only won the 3rd and like you said Nate did no damage. Conor got tired but he still was the only one handing out damage!

I know Connor was trying to stay away from Diaz ground game but he had him dead to rights 3 times on the carpet...Diaz was in absolute panic defense after he got knocked down all those times early

Diaz was ballsy as frick. The bird, after he knew he had lost, was hilarious. McGregor fricked his leg egg, and Diaz could barely use it by the fifth round. Beautiful fight.

It all came down to round 2. I scored it 48-47 Diaz but it's certainly not a robbery.

Respect to Nate though. Tough SOB

Broken foot makes sense with how much the leg kicks dropped off.

How many times did Diaz knock down Conor? Now ask the opposite question.

Conor easily won the first two rounds. And the 4th.

I think you need to rewatch the fight. I'm not a fan of either so I have no bias. Diaz got knocked down. He bled more. Conor got tired but that's about it.

2 knocked downs to 1

1 take down to 0

Nate landed more shots

Diaz always gets cut up. Its nothing to him.

Then Conor better defend his title at least once and against Aldo.

Conor kept walking away and nate was aggressor from late 2nd till end.

And they rewarded running away

When nate got hit hard he got reeady in guard he wasnt knocked flat back he wanted fight on ground. He was hard hit but nate was waving mcgregor to geound
