Because one is good and one is bad. It's apples and oranges to how they approach movies now.

A comic book movie is a comic book movie to me. I could care less who owns the character, who directs it, or who writes it. Just make a good movie.
But don't tell me I can't compare DCU, MCU, and Fox. One is clearly making better movies than the other two.
Every car is compared to the Toyota Camry. There's always some one on top the mountain. If you dont want to be compared to the guy at the top, then quit trying to climb the mountain.

Oh I totally agree. I was half kidding when I said they couldn't be compared.
If we disregard direction, plot and character development I'm sure we'd find tons of similarities!

I'm fairly certain this was the most discombobulated movie I've ever seen in my life. Why did shite keep happening with zero explanation of why? Scene to scene the plot would advance and I'd be sitting there trying to figure out how the hell we got there.

Fox is doing well, Deadpool and the first class trilogy have been very successful. I'll argue they're better than the majority of MCU films, which are vastly overrated, IMO.

Deadpool is the orange in a basket of apples, but for straight entertainment value I'd put it over most of the Marvel Studios movies.
I'd put the first Iron Man and the Captain America movies in the same league with the First Class Trilogy. The rest don't hold up as well.

GoTG, Ant-Man, and the first Thor were all very good movies. I know Thor doesn't get as much love but all three main actors brought great preformances (Thor/Odin/Loki) and their scenes together had more weight to them than most other Marvel movies. Their fight on tbe Rainbow Bridge was one of the better end fights for super hero movies.

Right now I'd say
MARVEL>>>DC
Marvel>Fox (can't forgive bad x-men and wolverine movies)
Fox=DC (This is just due to me liking Batman waaay more than the properties Fox has)

I always loved the first Thor. Great story elements. The "chosen one" brother is betrayed by the jealous, adopted little brother. Great motivations. IMO, it's one of the better stories in the MCU.

Directing, dialogue, acting were all pretty bad for Thor

I disagree.
The one thing I hear about Thor is how dumb Hemsworth is. But think about it, he's freaking Thor for christ's sake amongst mortals. He's going to seem full of himself and act dofferent than normal humans do. It would make no sense for him to act like a normal superhero.

I don't mind the first Thor film, the second one, however, puts me to sleep. Natalie Portman looks like she wants to be anywhere else but in that film.

I liked Thor but it moved a little too fast.
Gets banished, immediately becomes contrite and tries to correct his ways. No real internal struggle while on Earth. Just kind of silly to do it so quickly because it was essential to his character, to his becoming a hero.

I just realized that I haven't seen any phase 2 or 3 Marvel films. I don't think I'm eligible to have an opinion on any of this.

‘Suicide Squad’ Super Tuesday Not Only An August Record, But Also Beats ‘Civil War’
Don’t underestimate the box office traction of Warner Bros. Suicide Squad. In its fifth day at the box office, the David Ayer DC villain movie took in $14.27M, up 9% from Monday. Of course, that’s a record Tuesday in August, and as we’ve seen all along, Suicide Squad keeps whomping Disney/Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy records. That film previously owned the Tuesday high for August with $11.9M. But here’s what Suicide Squad‘s till yesterday outflanks when it comes to Tuesday highs: Captain America: Civil War‘s at $13.76M, Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s $13.1M and Batman v. Superman‘s $12.7M Tuesday.

It was a beginning and end of a movie. Nothing in the middle. As soon at the introductions were over, it went straight to the final battle.
