Is it really worth the wait? If so, how long is the wait on a Saturday?

No. It is, arguably, the best brisket available. But, on a Saturday with temperatures hovering in the 100's...

La BBQ, John Mueller, Micklethwaite, or Stiles Switch are also all good. Pick the one with the shortest line

I used to go when Franklin just started out of the food truck. Miss those days cause it's way too mainstream now for my taste

Overrated, but it is good. Not worth the wait.

It's never worth waiting more than 20 minutes for. You can find pretty close to equivalent brisket at other places with half the wait.

Franklin's is terrific, but the wait on a Saturday would make it just as worth it to go elsewhere.

I've been impressed with John Mueller, Iron Works, and La Barbecue.

You shouldn’t have to wait like that but the food will still blow your mind. Luckily I had a friend that waited in line Saturday AM of LSU Texas game, I took an Uber over there to meet him and waited the rest of the time. Brisket was unreal, my main regret is that I didn’t order a beef rib

LINK

If you order a minimum of 5 lbs, you can preorder your food. You drive up, they bring it out to you. No lines and you get the best bbq possible. It’s great if you have a group.

They had lowered the preorder minimum to 3 lbs during covid which was awesome. I ate there 3 times with no waiting.

Longest I’ve ever waited at Franklin’s was 1.5 hrs.

Brisket is the real deal. I also think their pork spare ribs are insanely good
