My parents are buried together about 30 miles from my house. As sad as that is, we had to,as they were both dead. I go a couple times a year and just walk around the area. I kind of think of the line from Spinal Tap when they're visiting Elvis' grave at Graceland.
Nado, you my man, well-played sir.

Negative, I have no relatives in Indy. Your talking about north of I-12, Cdawg and myself are from the south side.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of my dad, and he died 30 years ago.

Now he's in a cemetery. Be careful.

Maybe once or twice a year. My view is, they're not there, and it just makes me feel like shite

Grandparents about every 6 months or so.

My parents were cremated and I have them in an urn on my mantle. I was going to scatter them at the old homestead but they really weren't outdoorsy people.
So every now and then I just sprinkle them on the carpet.
Then I vacuum them up.

No. I just don't get it.

I enjoy touring graveyards. My favorites are London's Highgate and the Civil War cemeteries at Gettysburg, Shiloh and Fredericksburg. I plan to visit Glascow's Necropolis next spring.

Sure, I usually go by once or twice a year to clean things up and to be sure their final resting place looks respectable. No big emotional deal or anything like that, but I used to go by to visit my grandparents periodically when they were alive to see if they needed help with anything and I suppose the habit just stuck. I suppose it just seems to me like a respectful thing to do once in a while.

No, which is why I've made my cremation wishes clear to my kids. Alx to scatter ashes in Lac Ophelia.

Visited my Grandmothers in 04-05(on her birthday a couple years after she passed). My Dad died in '11 and the only time I've been back is when we buried my other Grandmother (his mom) next to him two years later. TBH, it's a pill I still haven swallowed so frick that I have no reason to go back.
