Why is it unethical. Les Could have told them not interested. Les is a important alumnio from Michigan. He could have been giving advice for all we know

If Miles didn't realize that talking to UM about anything wasn't going to create a media storm, then he needs to take a public relations storm.
Sure, he can talk to UM any time he wants, but guess what, the media can and will report this and throw innuendos out there as well.
