Needs for Next Year's Draft

What do some of you think about our potential in 2017-18? Looking at some of the draft eligible juniors and seniors coming out next year, I've for high hopes for restocking the talent for another run.
Thinking if this season goes as bad as it could, our top 10 pick would have to be a stud. Somebody who is noan for being a leader and setting the tone. Thinking that Jamal Adams would be a perfect fit. He and Byrd in the secondary would eliminate 2/3s of the field and provide excellent run support.
If we are typical 7-9, 8-8 again, I think we use our middle of the round pick on an OL. Unfortunately, we've gotta make up ground on past draft "misses" and, if we do end up resigning Brees, we'll need a big, strong, boxy Cadillac for his pawpaw butt. Ethan Pocic is a guy set to dominate the SEC and I think he could help shore up the weak spot being held by Andrus Peat right now.

we should just draft only LSU players and sign only LSU free agents. Maybe Harris can start for Brees.

I never correct people's spelling because as long as I understand what they mean, I'm cool with it, but "noan"? Really?

There is being a condescending jack arse by correcting obvious typos or minor errors. Then there is sheer ignorance.

I don't see how any fan can think counting on Byrd is a good idea at this point. I'm hopeful he'll turn it around, and he's had to deal with a lack of talent around him, but he hasn't been the homerun shutdown safety we all thought we were getting.

I thought was pretty funny that we are going to rely on Byrd to shutdown the secondary in 2017; however, we also need to bring in someone to replace Peat. One has done nothing since they have been here, the other was a rookie that missed an entire offseason and was starting to get more and more playing time as the season progressed.

Pass Rush, Pass Rush, Pass Rush. Sorry but I'm not counting on The Pineapple Express to ever be healthy again.

Bryd hasn't done sh!t for us nor do I see him doing anything in the near future and on top of that run support is not his thing.

Even if he comes back 100% healthy, we still need to address Pass Rush EVERY year. Some years there is more urgency, others you can take a flyer in the middle of the draft and groom. But, you can NEVER have too many pass rushers on the team.

Fournette of he's available should be the first thing said by everyone here. He's the best player in the draft.

Agreed 100% .. I do wonder what the deal is with Saints avoiding drafting LSU players.

First of all, we absolutely need to resine Brees. Even though his arm is fringe-elite, his intangibles and character is top notch. With all of the corruption and racial tension going on in the city right now, we really need to continue to force his nice guy persona as face of team. I'm ok with 7-9 until he decides when we will stop giving him $20M per year if he continues to combat the negativity in the city.
Second of all, we really will not need pass rush with the re signature of roman Harper. He gets so many sacks for a saftey. His combination of undersized linebacker and too slow to be a DB skill set works perfectly for our scheme.
I think we really need to stack up at WR. Clearly the new guy from Ohio state is going to be a bust as we all can see already. And cooks is basically like a flex RB/WR in fantasy so we just need a true WR that can stretch the field vertically on the back end. But not one who stretches it too much. It's more fun to stack stats through Sean P's scheminess than it is to just have top end talent that overmatches the opponent.

I agree on the needs. Mine just differs slightly. Basically, the same thing though.
3 Down DE, OLB, OG, OG, CB, DT, S
