The Officer that shot Alton Sterling.

My thoughts drifted to the officer involved in the Alton Sterling shooting. The officer that shot Sterling took a life while in fear for his own. He was removed from duty while an investigation occurs that could deny him his job and or his freedom. Officers get shot in Dallas. Protests occur all over Baton Rouge. While his coworkers are being worked long hours, he is helpless. 6 cops are shot in BR killing 2 from his own department.
If he ain't popping Xanax like tic-tacs, I can imagine he's on suicide watch.

First time i've thought of him in this light. Makes me really feel for him and his family. Even if he was "in the wrong" (which i don't think he was) I'd still feel badly for him. I'm sure he's blaming himself for all of this chaos going on. Truth is it could have been anyone.

Meanwhile, the career criminal/sex offender who tried to pull out his gun out on the officers receives national praise as a "gentle giant" and has a $700,000 scholarship fund amassed for his kids along with a trip to the White House for his son.

He did his job. He shouldn't feel depressed or bad in thinking what he did caused everything after.

I don't think he has any worries about going to jail. I do however believe he will never patrol Baton Rouge streets again. He could transfer to another state though. I am sure he is going through his own kind of hell for killing a man, and having to deal with knowing fellow officers were slain in a sense of what he did.

yeah, this would have set me off....not sure how I could ever get over this part of the whole fricked up ordeal, besides losing my fellow officers

I know Blane, have spent time with he and his spouse. Nicest people, can't recall any negatives coming out of their mouths. Without divulging anything, they are placing their faith in God and are thankful that Blane made it home the morning after the incident.
