Lots of people talking about how much they love this city.

I think they love LSU, and tolerate Baton Rouge.

Thoughts?

I love that the city pisses some people off. It's home so in many ways I love it.

disagree. Plenty of people love BR. I think you might be jaded about the city more than others.

That being said, I couldn't wait to get out over 30 years ago so I can see your point.

But no I've met many that love the city itself.

I enjoyed my time there. I was only there because of LSU but I think it's a decent place. Just stay away from the north side.

I hate BR so much I will forego going to LSU games. Just not worth the risk.

Other than LSU and your family if they live here, what is there to love about BTR?

Not so much. People love their families, LSU football, food and the south Louisiana lifestyle. Baton Rouge as a city, eh, not so much. Most of my friends that left LA are happy and don't look back on their decision to leave.

I enjoyed growing up there. My parents still live there, but the city has changed a lot over the years, some good and some bad. When I think of Baton Rouge, I think of a city with a lot more potential than it will probably ever achieve. Recent developments have me wondering about the future of BR. The outcome of the upcoming mayoral election will determine a lot.
