going in September. I've played Peninsula and Kiva Dunes 3 years ago and both were nice tracks. Any other recommendations?

By far best thing going down there now is Gulf Shores Country Club. On 180 just before Peninsula . Great track and great price. Was in perfect shape last week. Much more playable than Kiva . Enjoy

Playing Pensacola CC when I go down there in a few weeks

Gulf Shores CC is underrated - I like it.
Lost Key is nice - I like to nerd around that course...and make some decent scores.
Check out Kiva again after their work this past fall / winter.

Glen lakes, east of Foley. Low cost and the dunes course is very nice.

Perdido Bay is a fun track...I played Kiva last week and it wasnt in great shape. Playable but it's been better.

One that never gets mentioned is Rock Creek in Fairhope and that's a fantastic course that you can usually play for about 50.00 or so in the afternoon. You can even find a good coupon floating around.

There are a couple of great putt putt places too.

Soldier’s Creek- Never played it, but it is owned by the Woerner’s (Turf company), so I assume the grass is green.
Peninsula- If you are going to drive there, play Kiva Dunes.. if you can’t afford it, play Gulf Shores Golf Club (now known as “The Wharf”), but if you play Peninsula, enjoy an apple from the barrel between nines.
The Wharf- Great course, one of my favorites in Alabama. Difficult layout, but fair.
Craft Farms- Nice but nothing special. You will leave your round and say “wow, that was a well-kept course, but something I could have played in Baton Rouge.” That statement applies to both of their courses.
Kiva Dunes- It is the quintessential gulf coast golf course, imo. It’s just off the beach and is home to some of the most picturesque holes in the South. It is unbearably difficult from the tips with the wind, but from up a tee, it becomes manageable and fun. It is always in good shape and has an excellent practice facility.
Perdido Bay Golf Club- Nice, but difficult. It is in close proximity to Lost Key.
Lost Key- aka Lost Ball... Lol
GlenLakes Golf Club- you can book four people for like $17 a person. It’s a nice course as well. Definitely the best bang for your buck, by far.
Definitive Ranking of all East Alabama, West Florida Golf Courses
1- Kiva Dunes
2- Gulf Shores Golf Club
3- Craft Farms (either)
3- Glenlakes Golf Club
3- Peninsula
6- Perdido Bay Golf Club
Unranked: Lost Key
The tie for three is based on what you are looking for out of your golf round.
Regardless of where you play, stop and play Rock Creek on the way up or back.
