Disagree. In comparison to other beers in same category Ghost=great OV=good
I feel Envie is by far the easiest drinking of the three. Like kill a sixpack by the pool in no time drinking. Like I plan on doing at the pool this weekend.

The first batch everyone complained that OV was too translucent and not juicy enough, now ya'll are complaining that it's too cloudy. Just drink it, jesus.

Also, if I were a betting man, I'd bet that they tried to brew Ghost, something was wrong about the batch, rather than QC dumping it, they just packaged it as Opus and sell it for the same price as Ghost. Since they're not distributing Opus, they feel like it's no harm no foul.
You'd be wrong.
He tinkered with it to get the haziness/juiciness that he wanted. It's definitely a different hop profile than Ghost. I do kinda miss the Simcoe forward character that the first batch had. Either way, this batch of Opus is delicious and easier to drink multiples of here during the hot weather than Ghost.

Maybe 5 or 6.

You are probably right. I was erring on the safe side. The only one that has been super different was the see through enjoy by batch. That was a year ago.

Louisiana doesn't have a legit single IPA offering
Envie is APA in name only as far as I am concerned
Both that and commotion are good enough to settle my IPA cravings

so 1.5-2 years of OV "tinkering" before we get some consistency?

That's disappointing. I really enjoyed the first batch of Opus Vert, and preferred it over ghost. I like hazy IPA's/Juicy IPA's but sometimes i want something a little different. I found OPUS to stand out amongst the 3 brews.
I plan on heading to the brewery this weekend if they still have some available and make a determination there. Wish they would have filtered it more like they did the first batch, though.

I mean, Opus isn't in my personal Top 3, but WTF would you consider a "legit" single IPA offering? You judging by taste or cost efficiency?
Seriously?
Name a good "Single" IPA from Louisiana.
Now, name another good "Single" IPA, come on man, do I seriously need to do this?
Deschutes Fresh Squeezed, Founders All day, Lagunitas, Jai Alai
Parish needs a "flagship" beer besides Canebreak that can be an all day drinker. Ditch Southcoast, make an IPA.
Ghost already competes in the IIPA category with Pliny, Heady, etc...
Opus was supposed to fill in the IPA category to compete with the 7% and unders, Julius, Congress Street, Focal Banger
Opus isn't a different beer. It was a different beer back in May. It's just Ghost lite now.

Found some 6/11 (or maybe 6/13) Envie on sale for $8.99 per 6-pack at Albertsons a few days ago.

He messed with that recipe too, it's just like Ghost now.
Ghost, 8.4% ABV
OV, 6.7% ABV
Envie, 5.5% ABV
It's basically the same malt, same hops, different ABV. Where's the creativity?
