I went 15 years ago. Stingray city was the highlight of the trip. We did the Turtle farm and beer factory which was ok. Another day went to the other side of the island and enjoyed it. Stay away from down town when the cruise ships are in.
Went to hell and the flower gardens. Don't remember any restaurant names.

quote:I went to Stingray City some years ago. They broke us up into groups of about a half dozen people for snorkeling with the stingrays. They paired me up with Brad Douraghty. Remember him? The former UNC Tarheel and NBA star. Nice guy with a nice family. Don't forget to get your Tortuga rum cake. We discovered this place years ago when it used to be in a shed near the cruise ship docks. They would walk around with samples of hot cake from right out of the oven swimming in Tortuga rum. Now it is a giant international enterprise.

We did the turtle farm this yea, and while it is good for about an hour, it is a pretty cool excursion.
