I predict the Cubs will lose momentum during the All Star Break and return flat

First, the Cubs have a fantastic young team and a fantastic coach. They play hard and are very good. No debate.
However, they're still young. With youth comes inexperience.
Unfortunately the Cubs organization has very little recent playoff or division contention experience. I believe their inexperience will backfire on them. Right now they are the best team in baseball. But I don't believe they can continue playing out of their minds for the duration of the season. Problem is, the Cubs are flying high right now. But the moment they go on a long losing streak, they will fall hard because it'll crush their confidence.
On the other hand, the Cardinals organization is the poster child for "experience." They've been in the situation many times before. The Cards don't quit nor allow pressure to affect them. They are as level headed in first place as they are 11 games back in 2nd place.
My prediction is he Cubs will fall hard immediately after the All Star break. The All Star break has proven time and time again to be a momentum destroyer for some teams or momentum catapult for others.
The Cards will narrow the gap or even the race for best in division not long after the All Star break.

You have to have momentum in order to lose momentum

Didn't the Cardinals almost get swept vs the Pirates this week?

I don't see it happening. This isn't the same Cards team of the last several years. But I like your wishful thinking!

They've lost 7 of 8 and just let the braves have a ninth inning comeback lol

The cubs might fall flat, sure. They may win nothing this year.
But nothing you stated is anything more than what you hope will happen.

the Cards are starting 6 players 27 or younger tonight, including 4 that are 25 or younger

Cardinals players are always experienced regardless of age...

Yeah they are loaded with experienced 4A players.

I hope they do lose momentum. Their only momentum is going in the wrong direction.

They have lost like 13 of 18 how do you call that momentum.

Correct... But the Cubs will get on a roll in the 2nd half and win the Division by at least 10 games.... The Cards will NOT make the playoffs........

Aren't you that guy that everybody laughs at for being a jinx?
If so thank you thank you thank you.
The cubs have been schlepping around. 500 for a couple of months now. The cards just suck too much to take advantage.
The cubs will be mowed down by either the mete or giants in the playoffs anyway.
