Backing in to parking spot

My wife (no pics) works in the medical field. At her office, she has noticed a trend that some people tend to back into their backing spot, patients and staff. For whatever reason, it's almost 100% AA's who do this.
This is not a flame, I am genuinely curious, why?

Bc it's the most recommended way according to most defensive driving courses.

Easier to back into a spot and it's quicker/safer when leaving.

Always back in. It's safer in almost every way

Really?
I have taken driver training courses through my employer and have never heard this.

If shite goes down easiest way to pull out

Easier to pull out (TWSS). Obviously it's a no-no if there is a lot of other traffic in the lot.

I am not AA and I do it.

I get the appeal, but whites are much less likely to do so, why?

Look it up & tell your employer that "maybe" they need to update their DD course....seriously

It's easier to back in any large size vehicle into a parking spot when the spot is tight, and it makes it a lot easier to pull the same large vehicle out.

turning radius on my truck sucks. Add in parking lots that are too small to start with, it's much easier to back in.

no idea what the answer to your question is, but we are required to do it when driving company vehicles.

"Safety reasons" for allowing people to get out quicker during an emergency. Lot of oilfield companies require this.

Noted. With company vehicles we have to take a training course once a year.
OT: best thing I learned was how to adjust rear view mirros. Most people have them where they can see the side of the car which basically is no benefit.

This is new
I only back into my parking spot on Fridays. And I got the idea from a non-black person.
I'm the only AA who ever parks this way at my building, so take it for what it's worth.

More importantly, why drive around with your windows down when it is 95+ outside instead of using the car AC? I am talking a new car that obviously has AC.

It's the recommended practice... most parking lot accidents happen when someone is backing out of a space and can't see traffic in the lanes around other vehicles because your car/truck's back end is sticking out first... so if you back into the space while you can see other traffic, you can just pull out of the space without having to back out with your vision impaired.
The actual recommended way is to pull through whenever possible so you never have to put it in reverse, but backing in is second best.
