Ha. Assuming she manages to get herself together and lead a productive life, this will make one hell of a story one day.

There's a time and a place for using your brain. Debating on whether or not to charge a little girl with multiple felonies is one of those times
But it's Texas.

The mental damage is worse than anything else. It is pretty hard to work your way out of a felony conviction, but spending six years in juvy is worse than anything. There is about a 0.0000001% chance she becomes a normal person if they throw the book at her as a 12 year old

The story I read a couple days ago stated that she took her grandmother's car to go see her 18-yr old boyfriend.
That dude has some questions to answer.

Hence, the ever present "revolving door" of the judicial system will undoubtedly hurt her chances of ever going anywhere.

This is ridiculous. In her current nurturing environment, she believes that grand theft auto, reckless driving, and leading police on a 40 MILE CHASE are normal behavior. At 12? I'd say she has exactly zero chance to turn out normal with whoever is raising her now.

If that's true, my zero estimate is too generous. So if you can improve it to 0.0000001% by locking her up for six years I'd say it's worth it.

Yup, you're too stupid to have a conversation with

What parent would condone her having an 18 yr old boyfriend?

The Chronicle video that accompanied the story is ridiculous.

Don't take the bait. Hammertime is a slapdick

Obviously, she didn't believe about Santa bringing her some coal. What do you do next?

Danica patrick is 34 so the racing powers that be will need another token woman to push in about 10 years if she turns out to be attractive

Or maybe I think locking up a 12 year old for multiple felonies is a bad idea
Posted on 7/4/16 at 7:39 pm to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
Gotta love(not) the statement by someone in LE I think about her having quick reactions/skills from video games? Quick reactions won't alter a tailspin unless you know the correct way to react.

Depends on the nature of the crime. Personally, I don't think this girl should be locked up for 6 years in juvy. Granted, she put people's lives in danger on the road and she could've crashed into a minivan.
She deserves some punishment and not probation. Texas doesn't mess around with the law and she may get broken off.

For felonies, that's ridiculous. What do you think is gonna happen to her when she gets out at 18 with multiple felony convictions and can't find a job?
It will be on her juvenile record. Her adult record will be clean when she becomes an adult

She made the decision. Actions have consequences. She put the safety of others in jeopardy . Tough lesson but she does not deserve to walk
Posted on 7/4/16 at 8:26 pm to tigerfan182
God damn, yall are acting like she's 18. She doesn't need to go without punishment, but jailing a 12 year old is not the way to go about things. Your decision just created a much bigger problem for society 6 years from now. You don't get any brownie points from hindsight.
And when she does get out 6 years from now and guts your parents over $75, you are gonna bitch about a justice system that institutionalized a 12 year old.
The stupidity in this thread is astounding even for the OT. I'm guessing some migrant Politards are making their way over
