Since it seems everyone is having post Thrones depression, why the hell not re-watch the whole series starting from ep 1. I haven't seen those episodes in years and will probably catch all sorts of clues and foreshadowing I never even knew I saw now that most of the show's mysteries have been answered. I heard that if you watch one episode per week you can finish right as next season premieres.

One every 5 days actually. I've considered it too. Good luck only watching one though

It's funny/bummer to go back and watch early season episodes where every character in a scene is gone.

I've just started watching this series for the first time. I saw the last two episodes of season 6 the other night and got hooked pretty quick. Only through episode 6 of season 1. The Lannisters suck and Kaleesy is sexy as fk. My 2 takeaways so far. And that golden crown scene was legit. Couldn't stand that character.

Started re-watching Monday. Couldn't help but grin when Viserys demanded his crown from Drogo.

Ned telling Jon they would finally talk about his Mother the next time they saw each other hit a little harder this time.

Just rewatched episode 1 because of this thread.

***SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6*****

When Tyrion is in the whorehouse at Winterfell, he screams to Jamie, "close the door." He says it the same way Hodor said his part. Obviously just coincidence I'm sure, but still pretty interesting looking back.

I think the main takeaway for the rewatch so far for me has been how many times I've said "Ned is a dumbass!".

Never said that once during the first watch-through

like one said good luck just watching one episode. But there are 60 episodes so you have 18 chances left maybe

anyway, i just finished the rewatch for the 3rd time already. When are we gonna hear back from Gendry? Hot Pie?? Gendry and Dany hookup maybe because he's baratheon?

Dangit so many questions still

Problem is going to be:

Hodors

Readers

Crackpottery

-is just not going to mix. I'm not saying you have to have 2 different threads. You can limit it ostensibly to just the material shown. But, any Hodors who participate in the thread might have to accept they might be exposed to "knowledge" and Readers/Maesters might have to accept their smug asses don't know everything, the show is just different and they should shut up about stuff not on the show.

The problem with the former is that, collectively (not every individual Hodor mind you), they just fear knowledge and theories and the latter, through no fault of their own, have the 2 stories jumbled up in their brains and it becomes difficult to separate.

Having said all that, as a "hybrid" (I literally just finished ADWD 2 days ago) GoT fan - in that I started life as a Hodor, caught up to the show ever so briefly and just finished the source material after the end of Season 10, I was already considering a rewatch, so I am willing to participate in such a thread. However, I believe such a thread will be too difficult and cumbersome to maintain for the entire rewatch schedule. Don't let my pessimism dissuade you.

I've seen seasons 1-3 probably 5 times. Season 4 twice and Seasons 5&6 once when they originally aired.

It's weird going back and seeing Ned, watching Bran walk and Jamie has both hands

I plan on doing a series rewatch soon. It's going to take a lot of self control to go in order and not just rewatch S6 E9 & 10 over and over again.
