Golfers with career ending or debilitating injuries

I can't think of any off the top of my head. I know several guys have had back or leg injuries and had to make some swing adjustments as they got older, but nothing like what's happening to Tiger.
I mean at this point it seems like Tiger may never play again, what's his deal?

Well, picture who is out on the course on Saturday mornings.
Compared to many sports, it's not exactly a game where one will have career ending injuries.

He may never win again but Tiger will play on the tour again

Tiger got a sharp case of the chickenheaditis and the HGH and anabolics took their toll too.

Not sure what happened but Johnny Miller maybe it was a case of the yips. Can't remember a guy who had a quicker downfall at a early age.

Hogan could never play a full slate of tournaments after his wreck. It also made him almost blind in one eye. Still managed to win 8 of his 9 majors and a slew of tour events after. Had it not been for WW2 and the wreck, we'd probably be arguing Tiger vs. Hogan as greatest ever.

The guy from Ohio would beg to differ.

There have been plenty of golfers have back issues that derailed their careers, but no, you're not going to see a lot of career ending injuries because of the nature of the sport.

No kidding. Walk into a rotating prop and survive is a miracle in itself.

jerry pate also had a bad injury to his shoulder ... dug in on a shot in a tournament (the Open?) and tore his shoulder ... never really recovered ...

Didn't help that Tiger was training like a SEAL and getting his arse kicked and shot with rubber bullets before tournaments.
