I don't follow the NBA much but is getting rid of a proven, solid player in teague worth it for #12? I thought (and could be waaaaaay off base) that in the NBA draft that after about 5 or 6 picks there really aren't a ton of studs left on the board. Is there anyone that would be in teh 10-15 range that atlanta should be excited about?

plenty of big guys in that range that Atlanta could be looking at. Especially if we are losing Al Horford as expected.

We had Teague for another year at best. Better to get something for him than lose him to free agency and get nothing in return.

considering he was guaranteed to leave after next year? yes. especially in a draft where we have the 21st pick. should give us enough leverage to move up a bit.

just like with every single sport, you can find value outside of the top 10
