Doing a Father's Day fish fry today. Which brings up the question... Mustard or no mustard on the fish?

I always did mustard on the filets and a cornmeal dredge. Worked well for me. I'm also from Monroe so some of these south Louisiana folks may have a better way to fry fish

Catfish? If so, yes, mustard and hot sauce

Lots of people like it, I hate it, try some both ways and see

Mix some seasoning in ice water , run fish through that then immediately through whatever breading ( I like corn meal) then immediately into hot grease , the ice bath then the quick transition to hot oil seems to make for a crispy crust

I use a mustard La hot sauce mix and then crispy Louisiana fish fry.

I do a egg and milk wash before breading my fish. Mustard is not bad either, but certainly dredge with something.

Are you cooking some of those fish you caught on D'Arbonne a week or two ago?

Mustard (can't even taste it)
Louisiana hot sauce
Cap of crab boil
Any fish fry as long as it's a cornmeal/flour mix
