If we're going to have a poll about including return yardage, I'm going to take the time to make the case against it.
Kick return yardage is cheap yardage, plain and simple. There's nothing done to earn the first 10+ yards- No defender to make miss, no corner trying to shadow you, nothing. We added an extra flex spot to make evaluations count and thin the player pool, but adding return yardage would make fringe NFL players viable starting options and counteract what we just did with the extra flex option.
Punt return yardage is less cheap because of the increased traffic, but many of the same arguments apply.
I know one poster said "if you count TDs you have to count yardage", but that's simply not true. Plenty of leagues have D/ST scoring that uses TDs allowed/scored but not yardage.
