I won't back off from saying it was a great coaching job by PM.

I said for PM to bring this team to hosting a super regional after losing eight starters was a tremendous coaching job.

I won't back off that, but getting swept here was frustrating.

I'd say that had we gotten to Omaha, I would have relaxed and enjoyed the games even had we gotten swept, but really, I'd have bitched then too. I suppose that's a tribute to how good this program is and the high standard it sets.

Hats off to CC. They were the better team last night and tonight.

Coach Andy C is the reason for the hitting.

We have the best pitching coach in NCAA.

CPM is just a game manager.

LSU went on a nice run but weren't equipped for the big dance

It was a great coaching job. Anyone who says it wasn't doesn't know what they're talking about.

Losing 8/9 positional players and a national seed? Definitely a great coaching year

the result is good, but when you watch how he coaches during the game, it's just terrible.

He deserves the praise as well as some heat. But he deserves more praise. Extremely difficult season where we saw some rea growth from a young team.

Why mention 8 new starters? We are 60+ games into the season.
No freshmen out there.

Agreed, he coached these young men up to a level not a soul thought they could attain. And almost all come back with this experience under the belt. Could be a 6th straight top 8 seed next year. I'm sorry haters, that isn't by chance. S

PM is a good coach, but being at LSU has made him look better than he really is. And, by the way, he owes Les a debt of gratitude for his CWS win, because without Jarrod Mitchell and Chad Jones that never happens.

This LSU team overachieved this year. I am surprised that they earned a national seed. 45 wins in a rebuilding year is above average. 19 SEC wins is damn good for having lost 8 starters from 2015.

I believe next season will be better and the program will return to Omaha. The boys should be proud of how they played this year !

I agree with you. Wasn't perfect, but overall with this team, we went farther than anyone would have predicted. It was a fun ride. Omaha will be sad and so am I.

The standards now that Maineri has set is having the fans jerking off after winning the SEC Tournament then shitting the bed in the real post season cause the team's not prepared to do shite after the no. 1 & 2 pitchers are done.

Anyone else tired of seeing teams come here and beat us in the manner pre-paul lsu teams played?

They exceeded expectations this year. No one on this planet thought in April that we would be hosting postseason play at the box.

Can he coach them to hit a run in when the bases are loaded twice in one game?
