Youri Tielmans, Ruben Neves, Alan Halilovic, Angel Correa are always must buys for me in regards to young guys. They always grow into 87 and up level players pretty quickly. I haven't done manager mode on '17 yet but I Imagine a guy like Ousmane Dembele is up there too. Tielmans always grows into my favorite player. He becomes a better finishing Pogba with a 5 star weak foot

These are all such cliche buys. Everyone has them, especially if you add Dybala to the list. I, personally, like to find guys who many other MM players often look over. However, if this is your first go at a MM this year, I would say pick up whomever just to try them out. I bought Dybala in my first MM of the year and it was literally just too freaking easy with how good he was.

Try out Kasper Dolberg for something different up top. Tall striker has like 87 potential. Breel Embolo and Naby Keita also turn into studs.

I was playing a player career (not Journey) last night and randomly had a game where I scored 4 goals and had 1 assist

I had scored once in about 15 matches prior to it, but had about 10 assists. It was ridiculously awesome seeing everything go in for once

Yeah, this is why I like doing it with a smaller team. With Derby my initial buys/loan-to-buy were Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, Demarai Gray, Passlack, Horvath and Kalas. My second year I brought in Fede Cartabia on a free.

I got Correa and Kelechi Iheanacho early for relatively cheap, and going into season 4 they are both 87 overall.

Found a computer generated 77 overall free agent striker from Sweden that has 99 speed, 85 dribbling, and 4 star weak foot, but only 70 finishing. Talk about a great late game sub, and he was cheap.

That's the Ibra regen

I found a Neuer pre-gen in season three and he's a 92 overall now at age 21

My Ibra regen is only an 83 right now, but he's got solid physicals and just became my starter after selling Dolberg in one of my two first team, team sheets opposite of Iheanacho.

They do it with every player.

Add Messi, Ronaldo and whomever else you want to your shortlist and pay attention to when they're retiring.

Whenever they actually retire, a randomly named player of the same nationality and position aged between 17-21 years old will be randomly placed on a team in the same league they retired in. If they're contract runs out the same year they retire then they'll be in free agents.

Can be kinda shitty though, because their height, work rates and weak foot and skill moves are also randomized. So you can get a 5'5 Ronaldo re-gen with PTBS, but with low work rates and one star weak foot/skill moves.

I typically make a save before the end of the season and roll it a few times until I get a decent combination.

That's good to know. I'm in 2021 with Lazio and the USMNT, so after the next World Cup I'm going to start a new MM career and I'll keep an eye out for that.

Is it with every player or just highly rated guys? Would there be a Dempsey or Howard regen?

It's with every player. It's the only way the game can repopulate teams.

But some are hard to distinguish. I don't even know what Howard and Dempsey are rated and the potentials aren't exact to match the original player.

You only know the Ibra's/Suarez/Messi/Ronaldo's because they are PTBS. I don't think any American regens would be higher than a 'showing great potential' if that.

Thanks mr. p, I rarely am awake before 8 am lol.

Yeah there's three different labels for players under the age of 22.

Showing great potential - 78-83ish
An exciting prospect - 84-88ish
PTBS - 88-90+

These aren't exact but it seems to be around the same model most people use.

It's just random for me. Sometimes I'm pretty much unstoppable, then sometimes I'm struggling to score. I only got 1 goal in the game with the backup gk. My guys just couldn't keep possession and move it forward.

Why can't I score? I have played a decent amount of FIFA online over the years and my defense is pretty good (once I figured out you couldn't just run and press B at the guy with the ball). But I came score. I have slowed down my play, even on conters. I get a lot of balls shot from the top of the 18 that get blocked in previous years would have been goals. Do I need to take one more touch? I can figure out how to cross and head one in to save my life. Corners might as well be free counters for my opponent. Any tips?

For me, it's just been luck. A lot of the times I'm struggling to get my 1 goal. I've literally never played fifa before the 25th and don't watch soccer regularly at all.

I think I'm starting to run out of beginners luck, because the last 10 or so games I've played have been 1-1 or 1-0 with some losses.

use the left trigger(protective dribble)to control the ball to get in better positions to shoot. Also learn where to aim and which shot to use in certain situationss/spots on the field.
