If you're okay with spending the money, Apple TV is the best way to go IMO. Mine works perfectly for all apps.

I have Apple TV. The ESPN3 on WatchESPN APP doesn't work anymore.

Don't know why that is. Mine works perfectly.

The ESPN3 on WatchESPN APP doesn't work anymore. It does on my laptop though. Gonna have to run a HDMI from my laptop to TV to watch the game. Don't know why things have changed.

Just a wild guess, but I just learned yesterday that to watch 3, I have to log in using my ATT credentials and not my cable credentials. It's the only one of their networks that is tied to internet provider instead of cable. Suddenlink had no idea. I had to chat with ESPN peeps to learn that. Problem is, I have no idea how to logout of my app, so I have to just use a browser.

If you haven't realized by now, smart tvs are pretty dumb.

Disagree completely! But I didn't go somewhere and buy the cheapest I could find. Sometimes there are reasons smart tv's are more expensive than a similar vsize with similar pictures. Now you know why.

Topwater I have the same problem numerous times, plus at times the picture is poor quality ,sometimes with sound ,sometimes without sound.Does anyone know what causes this and if there is a solution?

Your tv doesn't have to be a smart tv to do it this way. Pull the game up on a lap top, plug in an HDMI cable from the computer to the back of the tv. Select the HDMI plug you plugged in to using the input button. The game is now streaming through your tv with sound.
