That line has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the concept of heredity, absolute rule under which the colonist were subject to at the time of the Declaration's drafting. Jefferson addresses the issue of slavery in depth later in his original version of the Declaration only to have it edited out later.

Norton neither knows nor could understand any of this.

Agreed. What a huge waste of time for a state that has actual problems

Its hard enough to survive the blatant corruption of our officials but combined with the sheer stupidity makes it practically impossible. Hopeless doesnt even begin to explain it.

Hence why I stated that the context in which it was written needs to be taught.

It's Barbara Norton. She isn't qualified to run a lemonade stand, let alone create and/or vote on legislation. A quick Google search will reveal ample evidence of her stupidity

I wish I was black so bumbling retards would vote for me just because of my skin color. Oh wait. No, I don't. I enjoy my white privilege too much.

But I would do what that white TX man did when he ran for a Community College board position who had "black" name and he put a picture of another black man on his voting mailers and he won.

So you're saying the elected white officials aren't bumbling idiots? I'd say its a draw.

True. It's why I oppose recitation. The Declaration needs one week of intense study. It should occur during high school.
